Blueprint Basketball Coaches Announced
Welcome Jake and Katie to our Coaching Team!
We are delighted to announce the addition of Jake Nailer and Katie Dowling to our coaching staff, who will be actively engaging and developing children within basketball across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
"Selection of coaches for our organisation is the most important job I have, because coaching is the heartbeat of what we do!", said Company Director Matthew Harber when commenting on the new coaches. He went on to say, "We want coaches who are enthusiastic and share our vision for developing basketball within our community. Most importantly, they have to be excellent role models and be great at engaging and motivating children. Both Jake and Katie have all of these qualities and much more!"
Sport at a young age is all about having fun and learning, and nothing is more valuable than seeing a big smile on a child’s face
Former University of Alberta Guard, Katie Dowling, will also join the team in a part-time role and will primarily coach within the Cambridge area. The Canadian-born, Mum of two will support in engaging and inspiring more players to pick up a ball and said, "I can’t wait to share my experience and love for the game and to help build a great basketball culture for mini basketball in Cambridge and beyond."
Company Director Matthew Harber was very happy about adding Katie to the team, "We're very fortunate to have someone with Katie's experience on our coaching staff. She has played at a very high level in Canada and has a great breadth of experience from both a playing and coaching perspective. I know she will really help us grow basketball locally here and I know she is going to be an advocate for getting more girls playing the game too!"
