Clubs Collaborate with Blueprint Basketball
Our club partnerships will ensure that the children, community and game of basketball will benefit from people working together.
We are delighted to announce these five partnerships with some of the most significant basketball stakeholders across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The Cambridgeshire Basketball Association, Cambridge Cats, East Cambs Basketball, Nene Valley Basketball and Huntingdon Hawks have become Blueprint Basketball's first basketball partners ahead of September.
"I want to say a big thank you to Ryan [Mills], Pete [Charlwood], Rob [Knapper] and Dave [O'Hara] for their support on our project and believing in our vision.", said Director Matthew Harber. He went on to say, "It is very important to me that we always remain independent and actively facilitate basketball activity across all areas of the county. We want to help and support clubs to grow their memberships and I think the work we will do to get more children engaged in basketball will ultimately do that."
The partnerships will primarily involve these clubs and organisations supporting the promotion and facilitation of both our Primary Schools and Mini-Basket programme across the region, whilst Blueprint Basketball will provide coach development opportunities and discounts for their existing members who would like to engage with our independent basketball activity.
Chairman of the Cambridgeshire Basketball Association and representative from the Huntingdon Hawks, Ryan Mills was optimistic for the future of Blueprint Basketball within the area and said, "Getting kids involved in this sport at a younger age will guarantee a brighter future for basketball. The programme that Matt has developed benefits everyone; the kids wanting to get involved in this great game, the parents who can see their children grow in ability and personal development and the county as a whole."
"We fully support everything that Blueprint Basketball are about and look forward to an exciting and bright future with them."

Rob Knapper from East Cambs Basketball was also excited about the partnership and said, “We are really happy to be working in partnership with Matt and the team at Blueprint. We hope that this will be a successful partnership not only for the club, but also for the primary school kids of East Cambridgeshire. Once they get a taste of how great this sport is then we hope to be able to continue their basketball education within the family of teams at East Cambs Basketball Club”.
These are the first of our basketball partnerships, as we continue to explore other collaborations with local partners. Anyone interested in working with us can get in touch here.
